recovery from ablation

Alright, another ablation question.  How long did it take you guys to recover from your ablations.  What I mean by recover, how long did it take you to resume normal activities ie;  going back to work, exercise, having a nice tall glass of ice cold beer (It's been a yr since I've had one so I have to ask!!lol)

Thanks!

Brandon

Ablation on Thursday, went for a walk on Friday, to the gym on Sunday for a light workout.  Was back running and weight training on Wednesday.

I think recovery depends a lot on the extent of the procedure.  Mine only took 2 hrs and I didn't require a lot of meds.

Had my first ablation on a Friday and was back to work on Monday.

Second time, I took a little longer to rest and stayed out for a week.

No restrictions for exercise or diet.

OK, I can answer this one.  I had my ablation on a Thursday.  10 days later, I was back in my aerobics class with no restrictions.  In fact, I did 3 classes that week with no problem at all, plus I started walking 4 miles every day.  I barely "skipped a beat", so to say.  I've had one ablation and was given a 98% success ratio.  My girlfriend's son had WPW.  He had one ablation probably 10 years ago and has been incident free ever since.  Hang in there.  The waiting is the worst part....trust me...   Pam
