I have my results from my echo and it was very good. Doc said it was hard to tell I even had heart problems. Back to work today and business as usual. My skipped beats started to ease of right after my prognosis. Anxiety?  I'm guessing so, as I am a very anxious person anyway.. Thanks for all the help... I'll keep posted on how things go after wor...

Thank you so much, Michelle, I appreciate your concern. I feel pretty good now, but still have issues with anxiety. I just need to find out my results of the echo., and stop stressing about it so much. every time I stress out I need a smoke..

To be honest I don't know how quickly you would be doomed.  I wouldn't think it would be tomorrow but you will likely continue to have problems if you continue to smoke.  But I think a lot of medical people use fear as a way to try and encourage you to quit.  So no I dont know that you will  immediately have problems though I can't say you won't but you will likely have future problems.  I guess I would suggest trying to get the anxiety addressed first.  The anxiety will likely keep you from quiting smoking,  I know smoking helped calm me down.  But the anxiety will likely keep you having heart issues as well, especially the extra beats.  I might suggest trying to find someone to talk to, a therapist or someone, to see if you can develop some coping mechanism to help you with your anxiety.   I would at least let the doctor know that you have anxiety issues if you do decide to try the chantrix. Maybe you would need to take some antidepressants along with the chantrix if you got yourself to a point in trying.  Well I know how difficult the struggle is to quit smoking.  In the minimum try and do your best to get active when you are cleared to do so and get your diet as heart healthy as possible and then do your best to address the anxiety and one day down the road you may find you are ready to quit smoking.  I really do wish you the best in getting a handle on all this and getting your health back in order.  Good luck and take care.  Let us know how the echo went.

Thanks michelleprtkus. I had an echo Friday. Not sure how it went. results on aug 10th. But the tech kept asking me about smoking. I kinda avoided the responses but, Tech said I'm doomed if I still smoke... Is that short term? or can it cause another heart attcack so soon after quadruple bypass, then failed graphs, then stents,, I don't see how that could happen, and yes I know I must quit smoking, and I/ open to taking drugs for it. But I get anxiety so much, I can't think straight sometimes.

I would definitely call your doctor and let them know that you are having symptoms.  From what I understand ectopic beats are not a concern in a healthy heart but it sounds like you may have a bit of heart disease so you may want to get your ectopics evaluated to see if you are at a greater risk of developing complications from the extra beats.

I smoke for 25 years and thought I would never be able to quit.  Despite all the downside of the habit I did enjoy smoking but I finally gave in and tried Chantrix.  I really had very little hope it would work and to my surprise when I finally decided to try and not smoke I was able to resist.  It was a bit rough going when I came across all my triggers, I had a lot I found out, but everytime I was able to Not Smoke I felt stronger and stronger and now it has been 4 1/2 years free from the addiction.  I really enjoy the freedom of being rid of the need so if you haven't tried it you might want to consider giving it a go though if you are or tend towards having depression I would discuss this with the doctor because I believe the med may cause an increase in symptoms.

Well good luck.  I hope you find out your ectopics are nothing to be concerned over and I do send postive thoughts your way that you are able to one day soon triumph over the smoking.  Take care and keep us posted on how you are doing.
