I'm in the same boat, benign PVCs, put on metoprolol tartrate 25mg twice a day. It sapped my energy, along other bad side effects. Worst part is, I still got PVCs (ectopic beats).
I quit them and I feel much better. If you've only been on them 2 days, your body is still adjusting to them and you may feel better but I doubt it.
Personally, I'm finding success reducing the PVCs with increasing my water intake and taking a dab of sea salt with each glass. Google "the water cure". Believe it or not, small amounts of sea salt may help with our problem. Good luck.
Hmmm...I started using sea salt and also began a calcium/magnesium/D3 supplement a year ago. my PVCs have been cut about in half. I thought maybe the PVCs were lower because I also started taking the Nexium every other day (to save money and also to reduce my risk of calcium and B vitamin loss). But maybe the sea salt has something to do with it also.
Interestingly after I started taking Prilosec OTC my arrhythmia tapered off...There are many people with benign PAC's/PVC's that are due to non-acid reflux GERD which irritates the vagus.
