Hi Braveheart....i too am sorry that you are going thru this and know how scary it must feel on top of the stress that you're going thru.  First lets address the emotional part of you before we get into the heart...so what..you're on food stamps...to me people that have to have assistance thru their county as far as i am concerned have paid for that in most cases. In other words for all of the years that you've worked and they took all of those taxes out of your paycheck you were investing in insurance for yourself which is public aid and food stamps, etc. so believe me in my mind you have paid for that help at least 10X over.  There are groups out there that will pay for your utilities, rent, good, even gas for your car and i think personally that you should take full advantage of it because you yourself have invested in it....so get over it....you can send me a private message and i can give you some ideas this is the least you should worry about because now you need to take care of you Braveheart and forget the ego here...we live in America this is why we pay the taxes we do so benefit from it for Gods sake.......as far as your VT...yep it is super scary...its been two months since your ablation and you aren't the only one that has experienced VT after the procedure.  Typically it means that your heart rate hits over 120 beats in a minute and most commonly between 150 and 200. It does not mean that it has to be deadly it just has to be dealt with.  If it were my body i would probably stomp my little feet into the E.R. and tell them enough is enough and demand that i be converted to knock these puppies out because it is ridiculous if its been a sustained or continuous episode.  They can do a synchronized cardioversion of your heart which i would think would take care of it.  Alot of times people freak out over the episodes because your pulse rate just soars but like i posted before my heart rate went into the mid 300's right before my ablation and after i had it done i had three other episodes went the heart rate went up to the upper 200's including one very bad nite when i awoke from a dead sleep with it (not good) and like the idiot i am sometimes rather than call an ambulance i drove myself to the hospital with a rate at 270 and they flipped out on me but i'll tell you what they converted me and i've been good to go now for about 6 weeks.  Things happen Braveheart....it seems logical to me that the doc would need to get in there and take a look thru another mapping to find out what the heck is going on and simply give you a tune up with that ablation.  Braveheart because you went to a specific doc doesn't mean that you have to go back to him/her.  If you aren't getting emotional and physical relief from this doc for gosh sake post where you live and let some of the forum members suggest someone in your area or call and see if you can talk to the developers of the procedure....Dr. Natale in the Texas area or Dr. Mel Schienman in northern california to get a reference to another doctor.  It makes me mad when a heart doc doesn't sit people down and explain in laymans terms exactly what the problems are but most importantly how he or she will fix it.  You are important...if their patient load is a little too big you;ll be left in the dust so don't let that happen to you..get proactive and if you chose to stay with this doc its simple Braveheart....blow up his phone with calls....do not stop until he fixes this....one caution i should give you is do not exercise while in VT because it can induce a rebound effect....you need to be converted out of this and then address the problem of why it popped up.  Will you always have this...naw i doubt it once it is converted out...or ablated out...or med'd out....there are no guarantees in life Braveheart but  we certainly can give ourselves the best shot we can at surviving life with or with out heart problems.  I remember one time i wanted to see my specialist and was told that he wasn't taking new patients for two years he was such demand...for a reason he was amazing....and i went and sat in his office waiting room all day for over a week and it flipped them out until he finally agreed to see me for 15 minutes...he did....and he scheduled me for 2 weeks later and fixed my problem.  It worked...i figured if something happened to me what better place could i possibly be than in his office since i had a sustained rate of about 240 in that incident..(not good for his new patients to see in his waiting room) but we can't take chances and if i have to look like a fool to live trust me i will definately do whatever i have to do to live and have peace of mind both.  As far as what could be causing the VT ...the one person who will know is the EP doc....your regular heart doc i hope has you on blood pressure meds. to keep your BP down because i know mine went out of control during the episodes.  Who would have thought that we would be dealt this hand in life huh Braveheart.  In my humble opinion i think that God must think that i am pretty special to be giving me this much attention and the test may not always be yours Braveheart but those around you trust me... sometimes we are the instruments for other lessons including our family/friends and medical personnel.  So do something about this Braveheart...live up to your posted name you use.....blow up their phone, go sit in the waiting room, go to the E.R, and make them sit up and take notice of you so that they'll take care of this.....don't take no for an answer.....i didn't and my life is 100% better than it was believe me......good luck to you little one and we are here for you and you better let us know how the new sarah connors from terminator is.....we're betting on you!!!!!

When your monitor picked up the v-tach, did the tech or your doctor tell you to go to the ER immediately? There are two types of v-tach, non-sustained and sustained v-tach. Non-sustained v-tach is not dangerous like the sustained v-tach. I suffered from the sustained v-tach (which is usually 30 or more beats in a row). Everytime I went into v-tach I would pass out, which made it more dangerous for me since I never knew when an attack would happen.

Hi Braveheart1978, Go to the emergency room for the vt's if they are not stopping. Its your heart don't play around with it. It isn't the doctors heart. Have you thought to get a second opinion. and also do you see an electrophysiologist.  I take a beta blocker 100xl toperal and one adult aspirin for my heart. Its old school medicine for my svt.  If i don't take the beta blocker  my heart starts to pick up speed. It still palpatates. on and off during the day. Its creepy to feel them. I know how you feel on that.Go to the emergency room if you continue in this.Don't worry about your bills. Your sick and you can't pay them. its not your fault. What are they going to do? Garnish your food stamps? I think not. There is no shame in being sick and having food stamps. Purchase heart healthy foods so you don't bring on more complications.

Are you on meds, including a blood-thinner at this time?  Are you close to where your Dr is?  If I were you I'd go in to see him and not wait for your next scheduled appt.

Wow, you have really been through a lot lately. What happened? Did you suddenly start having new symptoms or did things slowly start to feel funny? Did your doctor mention if this a complication as a result of your ablation? You might want to call the doctor and find out exactly what words he used. Wish I could help you with info but mostly I just feel terrible that you are not feeling better. Hang in there : )

Hey there, sorry to hear that. He was probably also mentioning something about the QRS reading on your EKg. I can't say exactly what that means, just that it's one of the things they look at for diagnosing this stuff. I know VT is pretty serious stuff, so hang in there! Hope your doctor gets it figured out soon.
