Hey Myown! (We must've been writing our notes at the same time last night -- missed yours!)  You're a red head? (why do I feel like I should've known that - LOL!) I was blessed with learning about red-heads from my husband AND son (and now two red-headed grandkids).  I love em!

Sfbaygirl that was so funny  (about the 4th one - kick the bottle to em) hahaha.  I remember - yeah! You became granny again (to a BIG baby as I remember).  I'll have to try to go find the note to OH on Jan 18 and see what's up!  

Yeah.. parents today are... very cautious??  It's unbelievable to me to see the changes from when we were parents and raising kids.  I got my granddaugher in her car seat the other day, and there were so many safety gadgets I didn't think I'd EVER get her out! Even Radio Flyer Wagons have a SAFETY feature on the handle now, I guess so kids won't impale themselves on the handle flying down some hill?? (We never got killed by a Radio Flyer Wagon -lol). And swings? Just a simple, wooden swing?  I got so tired of looking for a wooden baby swing (they were all plastic buckets, bright blue, green, yellow, orange) and so "safety-fied" it was pathetic.  I think it's time to get back to some basics :) Get about 30 ft of nice strong ship rope (the kind that doesn't stretch and will last 100 years), sling it waaaay up yonder - over a high, strong oak limb, tie the tire on, and away we go - riding double!  I can see it now - daughter in law's eyes will get REAL big when she comes over, "can you babysit today??"  SURE!

I always wanted a little red-haired child and got 4 with brown hair. Now my g-baby has very sparce hair but it's blond tinged with red!
Have never met a red-head without a temper to match!

I forgot to mention the new grandbaby! Congrats! Aren't those little ones great! I have yet to babysit the new baby, now 2 months, but told my daughter that instead of all the running, jumping, tornado little ones, a baby sounds like a nice change. On Jan. 18 I posted about it to OH. Check it out. Now that my daughter has  her second she will let me sit for the baby, the first one, NO WAY!  She barely let me touch him...did you wash your hands etc. I love the old Bill Cosby record about his wife having four kids. the first one you sterilize everything and especially if they drop the bottle. The second one you wash the bottle under the water in the sink, the third one you maybe wipe it off and hand it back. The fourth child you kick it back to them! LOL

So glad you're Dad's procedure went o.k. Specially after that heart to heart like he might not make it! I have been wondering about him and meant to ask sooner, I just get a thought and then lose it before I can act on it. And with all the drama around here lately, I am a little out of it. Poor SFBaygirl has had to explain it too me 12 times with her best teacher skills. She's good at working with the mentally challenged!

Thank ya all! Bug a hug to you! How you doing?  You feeling OK on treatment and doing alright?  I barely have time to come by and read anymore (and when I do, I can't keep up with everyone - seems the board has turned into a maze of mass confusion since the "new and improved" version of MH was implemented.)  NOT that I'm complaining :)

And Comp and Wynte - how are ya'll doing on it?  I just don't have time to read anymore, and I feel like I've lost track of how everyone is feeling and doing.  Just hang in there and know I'm pulling for all of you!  

And yeah - how in the heck might we exchange emails? To tell ya the truth, I'm barely on my email anymore, either, but I would love to say "howdy" (send some songs or just shoot the breeze :)  Sfbaygirl gave me hers one time when I first arrived on MH to help me out, and I wrote it down, and (you know how that goes.)  No telling what I wrote it on and where it wound up - probably on the back of some lab work faxed to Duke :)

Gotta go.  Gonna try to catch up on some reading here.  Baby will be home tomorrow!  hmmm...on second thought - maybe I need to get in bed while I can??  Now that things are calming down here in the "rush rush rush around" department and everyone is OK again, I found myself today  (for the first time in about a month) thinking again about treatment.... just kind of lost in thought.  Bye !

Hey!  I see I have LOL!  I was JUST writing a note on your wonderful response to that thread (SECOND ATTEMPT since I got home) and the lights (AGAIN) and  my computer went POOF! (my little space heater keeps throwing the circuits!)  I sat here in the dark and thought "maybe this means you just need to keep your mouth shut" :)

Thanks for asking about my dad.  He's doing great - well... not great great  (procedure was tough, lasted longer than anticipated, they weren't able to get the stent in, but they did to angioplasty to the occluded vessel, and hopefully it will help this recent shortness of breath and chest pain.  He came home the next day. We went for a short walk today; he still has shortness of breath, but - hopefully it will get better!  I'm just glad everything went OK and that he is back home.

And guess what?  As of 4 a.m., I became a second-time granny to a 10 lb whopping baby boy with red hair!  I'm ecstatic! I've been running myself ragged (but it's a good ragged), but I think I'm going on adrenalin only.  Pretty soon I'm gonna flop over!  I  need to.  Gosh I need to catch up on some sleep.  It's so good to be home and to be able to sit down and not have to hop right back up. Now if I can just wind down.
