Good point. I beleive I was involved in a few things where one would say I was at risk. However, like most here, that was during my "wild youth." I'll get the shots.
i have a moderately enlarged spleen from liver disease...but i don't have any idea of the disorder you mention...
I have had both the hep A & hep B vaccines. Was worried about hep A, since it can be transmitted so easily. There was an outbreak in a neighboring county traced to a worker in a fastfood restaurant.

I've had A & B vaccines with no problem I'm aware of. frank
I do think it's a good idea to get both the Hep A and Hep B shots. If I could get Hep C in spite of the fact that I don't fit into any of the high risk categories, I figure I could just as easily get Hep B.

sorry about your reaction to the vaccine, I did not have the hep b vaccine, because even though is rare to have adverse effects(according to the maker), it is 100% if you are the adverse statistic. I rather go the universal precaution route. Hep A is a different story, since it is more contagious.
I guess I'll go get it done. What's a another shot.
My dx wrote me a script for Hep A and B vacination. Now I'm even less wild about the idea.
