There are many many factors (age, e status, DNA level, ALTs, insurance, work, etc) to consider in considering which treatment to go for.
Generally, antivirals are very patient friendly. Member NashPred is doing interferon, read his treatment post.
I took adefovir for almost 2 years, currently on entecavir and tenofovir and there is not much to say because I had no bad side. Most don't get any bad side effects.
what do you want to know about the drug? I do have a friend whose taking entacavir and hepamerz and before, he was given pegasys injection. he was known to be a hep B and hep c reactive and highly infective after a long period of treatment his recent laboratory shows that he's now low infective in hep B.
Thanks, zellyf, for the clarification.
IFN, Lamivudine, Adefovir, Entecavir, Telbivudine, Tenofovir, which one?
I think cajim wanted you to be specific b/c there are a number of antivirals available and they are all different.
Thanks...I'll try through the Hep B foundation.
When i'm refering to drugs or meds It seems pretty obvious that its related to Hepatitis B therapy because Im assuming this forum has nothing to do with abusive substances.
MEDS = MEDICATIONS =
The science of diagnosing, treating, or preventing disease and other damage to the body or mind.
The branch of this science encompassing treatment by drugs, diet, exercise, and other nonsurgical means.
An agent, such as a drug, used to treat disease or injury.
Something that serves as a remedy or corrective: medicine for rebuilding the economy; measures that were harsh medicine.
DRUGS = Pharmacology. a chemical substance used in the treatment, cure, prevention, or diagnosis of disease or used to otherwise enhance physical or mental well-being.
You might consider joining the Hep B mailing list. There are many members on antiviral therapy there.
