Firstly, get yourself checked. Secondly, get your wife hbv DNA count and Hbeag status. If HBeag is -ve, low virus count is expected which will be also get reflected in hbvdna report. If low viral count, there are less chances of your baby getting infected. REGARDLESS OF ALL THIS, you baby should get a shot of Hep b right after birth. Recheck with nurse that shot is given to baby. Also ask your doctor to give baby hep b immunoglobulins. your baby is safe after this. Read centre for disese control guidelines for hepatitis +ve mother. You should follow those guidelines. Those guidelines are most reliable source of information.
Now, question comes about your wife. It is going to be a long haul trust me, so you will have enough time to think and plan. But, start reading about hep b. Excellent source is hepb.org, dvelop some knowledge so that you can understand what people are talking about and then take it from there. As a general guidelines, your wife should get liver function test, complete blood count, hbe status, habv dna, and ultrasound as first level of test.

Hello,
Can you tell me whether the vaccination has been successful for your baby? I am also pregnant with hep b so i am keen to hear about other's experiences.
Thanks
that what is the cause of this disease?
hepatitis B infection
After delivery there is no problem for my wife?
there may be problems for your wife and baby if not properly monitored and cure in case there is liver damage
If they give the injection to the baby, baby will be ok?
not 100%, a low percentage gets infected even with vaccine so now the guidelines are to make hbv undetactable on the mother so that the chances of vaccine failure are almost 0%
your wife needs the following:
hbvdna pcr: if not undetactable she must take tenofovir until birth to make hbvdna undetactable
hbeag, this must be negative because in case of hbeag positive the baby can be infected before birth and vaccine might fail
as to your wife infection you have to check liver damage by fibroscan and if there is no liver damage she can avoid continuing tenofovir after delivery, follow the forum posts about alinia (nizonide500) and interferon and possibility of hbv eradication, these are the only drug that eradicates hbv in a low percentage of patients but during pregnancy oonly tenofovir is safe
