D3 and PTH

Hi guys,

I made test for vit D3 25 oh and PTH

My results:

Vit 25 OH  31,10 ng/ml.

PTH 46,30 pg/ml - ( I made this test different day that vit d3. it was afternoon, i wasn't on my empty stomach, and it was 3 days after I was given intravenous contrast for computed tomography) - in this situation the result may be incorrect ?

So can I take vitd3 10000 daily ?

Vitd25oh is the closest test to l3vels of vit d but it is not good enough, it can be 100ng/ml but you are having no vit d in tissues and stores

pth is inversely correlated to vit d and goes down when vit d is enough in tissues and reaches cellular receptors

if vitd25oh is 150ng/ml but pth 50pg/ml there is no vitdin tissues and receptors and it is low

I understood in this way, that now i have too low vit d3 and if vit d3 will be higher than pth will be lower.

Rafww I'm in same in regards to vitamin d as my level is 32 and I started to take 5 pills vitamin d3 (2000 each pill)

But Stef since his pth is high how can he bring it down to 10-20 pg/ml?

How long should I take Vit d and when I have to repeat teste for vit d i pth ?

And how i should take it, before the meal, after, morning, before the sleep ?

I bought vit d3 2000iu/tablet, so i need teke it 5 times per day.

i dont think pth is influenced and with such low vit d it cannot be lower anyway

vit d too low, immune boosting effect is at vitd25oh around 90-100ng/ml and pth too high it needs to be 10-20pg/ml.pth is immune suppressive

you have to take 10.000iu to correct levels
