Hello every one,

I am hoping some one will interpret the reports and tell me how bad is it and my life expectancy, and also anything else that i should know.

Hep B sAg +ve, Hep B eAg -ve, anti HBe +ve, SGPT (ALT) 68U/L
LFT {total bilirubin 2.0 MG/DL, direct bilirubin 0.6, Indirect bilirubin 1.4} rest are normal
HBV DNA 3674 IU/ml = 21383 copies/ml

thank you for your time

of course do not start treatment before fibroscan result, any damage above 7kpa or f2 needs therapy, and of course make sure you know hbsag is positive more than 6 months, if you don t know you can find our from:

fibroscan damage higher than 7kpa
hbcab igm negative
in this case you are cronic and need treatment, also find a very expert liver specialist (most are ignorant) and normal doctors complitely unaware of hbv correct guidelines and manage

make sure you also test for bcp/precore mutants which make more risk of liver cancer and cirrhosis, this is the prevalent form worlwide but if you are lucky you don t have both.

don t worry too much anyway with antivirals hbvdna is made undetactable and risk of cancer/cirrhosis is almost zero, but keeping your infection untreated might be very dangerous

you have to follow instructions on the link despite you don tunderstand medical terms the tests you have done tells nothing about liver damage, hbv and hepatitis are not dangerous themselves it is the continuous damge to the liver that leads to cirrhosis and cancer that is dangerous.so you need fibroscan to see the amount of fibrosis in your liver.

as to treatment yes or no you do need treatment because hbv is acitve, best therapies tenofovir, entecavir and interferon, before starting treatment i'd make a check on hbv mutants just to be safe on resistance.

tenofovir combined with nitazoxanide are the most potent thearpies and if hbsag doen t get negative you need life treatment.
tenofovir has 0% of hbsag negative, but most potent and no resistance
nitazoxanide is off label therapy but lowers hbsag at 1,5-2g daily dose so if it does on you you will get rid of virus in a couple of years thanks so this combo

so i suggest tenofovir+nitazoxanide 1,5 or 2g daily (see our posts on nitazoxanide/alinia), fibroscan to see amount of liver damage
