anyway you can change to etv 1mg, little more potent but dont go back to 0.5mg because i dont know how safe it can be to go backwards on doses, i ve never seen studies on this

it sounds very stupid to cut it to half. i think the hospital try to save money or entecavir 1mg is geting to old .

no he can t, entecavir does have resistance possible although low, too dangerous, he needs 0.5mg or 1mg

the shape of etv makes impossible to split homogeneously, i think it is made on purpose and i read somewhere not to split it, maybe on the box or booklet with drug instructions/sides effects

entecavir can t be cut, the pill is not homogeneous and you risk to get different doses than 0.5mg, also 1mg dose is more expensive so get the pharmacy to deliver the correct prescription

if you can t get 0.5mg, take 1mg or change to tenofovir which is cheaper and more potent

Hi, I don't think it's a good idea to cut in a half if it doesn't have a dividing line. Doses won't be equal and if your doc changed it to 1mg, it means that it has a purpose. You might wannna ask why.
