heppatitis and pregnancy

i have heppatitis b, i take adefovir (espera)for about 1.5 years, with good results. my wife and i want to get pregnant. my doctor said that i have to stop taking the medicine for list 3 month. i'm afraid to stop taking it because the infection of my liver can appear.
please advice me what to do.

gee sigal, i don't know that much about hep b, alot of us here have hep c. you should try your question under the gastrointerology section of this web site. there is a doctor commenting there. we may not be able to answer this question about your meds. but there are a couple here that seem to know more about hep b. i hope they can give you some advice.
