Guilted liver biopsy

Has anybody gotten a ultrasound guilded  liver biopsy or a liver biopsy performed?  My main concern is does it hurt and if so how bad?  I read mix reviews about the pain.  Read that you get a local anesthetic shot on the side, which seems painful.  If somebody could give an insight on the their experience of a liver biopsy, I would really appreciate it.  

Dr ordered me to do a ultrasound liver biopsy, because my alt is still elevated, but my hbsag has drop to 400 from 800iu

u get pain while insertion but that is tolerable. after a few minutes u ll feel pain in ur right shoulder that is reffered pain frm liver and may last for a few days gradually subsiding over 2 to 3 weeks

I did liver biopsy twice, both time just a couple second of ant bite pain, the liver itself does not have pain nerves, they insert a long needle to retrieve sample, done in 30 minutes and made me wait another 30 minutes for observation,
