At this time you are a chronic carrier with good immune control and ver very low infectivity. Regular retesting will be required to catch a possible flare up of the hbv into a more aggressive form with higher viral load and increased liver damage. In that case you might have to block the hbv with antivirals. Currently only watchful waiting is necessary.
Your kids r safe if vaccinated. You check other family members like mother brother for hbsag test.
I found out at 38. Look into taking care of your naturally. Keep it clean and sanitary around your kids. I have three kids, 11, 5, 2, and I no longer share cups or bathroom. But that's my preference. I don't really stress about like I did, when I first found out. I was sure I would die of HCC, but now, I just live and most of the times I don't even think about it.
Take your diet seriously and if you have fatty liver, try to take care of that. My liver isn't good as my wife's but I am not going to die either, at least hopefully not anytime same...lol
Just give it couple month and you ll be back to normal. Best wishes and merry Christmas
