HBsAb become positive ?

Hello,
I was infected HBV twice in early 2004 and late 2005.

1) In January 2004
Symptoms: vomit, yellow skin, abdomen pain, very tired.

2) In December 2005:

1st Blood test:
-  HBsAg = (+)
- SGPT = 264 UI/L
- SGOT = 171 UI/L

I was adviced to take lamivudine 100mg/day regularly. Blood test result is as followed:

2nd  Blood test:
- SGOT = 24 UI/l
- SGPT = 10 UI/l
- Total bilirubine = 42,2 µmol/l  (N: <17,1)
- Conjugated bilirubine = 6,6 µmol/l  (N: <3,4)
- Free bilirubine = 35,6 µmol/l  (N: <13,7)
- HBsAg = (-)
- HBsAb = (+)   ;   40UI/l

Could you please confirm me the following?
1- Am I fully recovered from Hepatitis B Virus?
2- Shall I continue taking Lamivudine 100mg/day?
3- Can I drink alcohol for sometimes? (At  the party...etc)
4- Is it possible that HBsAb (+) become (-)?
5- How about the upgrade level of Bilirubine?

Congrat!
HBsAb = (+)   ;   40UI/l  is good but over 100 is better mark.  Absolute no alcohol.  Whether you should continue therapy is depends on your doctor.  But, I think if you don't have to depend on medicine, that is even better because of the side effect concern.

Hi My congratulations on this excellent news, but I have a little confusion

1. You said you were affected twice by HBsAg once in 2004 and then again in 2005 ..for 2005 you have blood reports but for 2004 you only wrote symptoms ... were you testef for HBsAg positive then in 2004 .?

2. Why Iam asking this is because I want to know wheather you were a acute carrier for a Chronic one ....

Bilrubin high reading may be due to use of LAM.

You may want to avoid alcohol, until it comes down. Also persistent high reading implies liver issues and gallstones.

1. yes - congratulations!!!
2. You have recovered, so there is no additional advantage in continuing with LAM
3. Make sure you talk toyour doctor. Especially your question#5 is still pointing to caution
4. Very rare (so don't worry about that)
5. It should be checked. Your doctor may order ultra sound, or may advise you properly.
