just so that you know, there is no such thing as "negative" dna.
there is UND dna but thats undetectable..in other words , the measurement tools which they use to detect dna cant get to the smallest units or copies.. im not sure they are interested in finding out how few copies or units one hepB carrier has so ong as it is below 100 copies or i belive 19 units.. there are mre precise measuring tools for hepC .

so, i doubt you were negative at all.. you were UND and this , many people accieve but while UND it doesnt mean that the virus isnt duplicating or activating.. just not high enough or active enough to pose any worries..

assuming you showed " negative" to dna - which like i said is probably UND, and ofcouse you converted to negative on hbeag, so what is the third antibody your body developed ?

thankyou for your time and reply. its very confusing, i continued the treatment for a year after my hbv dna was negative, i developed 2 out of three of the antibodies i was supposed to have, it was three out of three but one stopped showing. my alt and ast have been in the middle of normal range so the nurse wanted to try stopping the baraclude, 4 weeks later my hbv dna has come back positive. monday i go for more bloodwork to check my alt and ast.  it was all looking so good, then flashback i guess.
im on mainecare so im not a priority in the bigger picture. ill post my new bloodwork when it comes.

well these are normal vague and not specific readings in regards to hepatits B.

all this says is that you do not have hepatits A or C ( not showing antibodies but there's anything for that so it will show neg)  and you have hepatitis B with a postive reading on  E antigen .

i assume you were showing negative or non reactive for the hbeag so you've seroconverted from hbeag ( your initial reading above ) to hbeag negative which is good ofcourse..

now it all depends on how long ago you've seroconverted for a doctor to decide to come off meds.. usually even after you seroconvert you will still need to be on meds for another year or so until your doctor is sure you're negative e antigen stays that way.. then after that its very close monitoring the first year or two beforeyou space out the monitoring procedure.

now, you were NOT negative , i assume, to the surface antigen.. you've only turned negative to hr e antigen..which means you still have hepatitis B but nots infectious or maybe the virus isnt duplicating very actively but it doesnt mean that it is not duplicating or active.. it just means it is working very slow to where the patient can lead a normal life..

the fact that you are reactive now doesnt mean you not inactive anymore.. you may still be inactive and i think you said that when you stated in your other post that it is too low.. so i wouldnt worry much if it stays low . ofcourse you will need to monitor it closely now. baraclude is a very strong antiviral drug but it doesnt come with some resistance  so maybe the virus is fiding away to resist it and becoming active .. low activity but one that exists nonetheless.

how is your ALT and AST ?
you need to post your most current readings for better understanding of your status. you need to also list your ALT and AST.

lastly, i recommend to switch doctors.. find yourself a good knowledgable gastro or hepatologist.. this virus is soo unique and most people dont have the same readings..there is more doctors still do not know or understand about this virus let alone nurses or people for that matter... with all due respect ofcourse.

so i would carefully choose another doctor that knows hepB well

good luck

Best if you can list all your lab readings.
