Hepatitis b

Hello.

A week ago I was diagnosed Hep B.  S-Anti-HBe   Negative

S-HBeAg      Negative
S-HBsAg   positive (neutralise)
S-Anti-HBc  Negative(the only HBc related test)
S-HBsAg   positive 21.9 (when negative is <0.8)

a week later
S-HBeAg      positive
S-Anti-HBc  still NEGATIVE(the only HBc related test)
S-HBsAg   positive 203 !!!   (when negative is <0.8)

I am 31. The doctor says sit and wait, but I am worried. Currently conlcusion is acute.
1. Can this be chronic? how old do you think I have had this ( i assume this is recent)? 3. My wife could potentially have this (low likelihood), but she is pregnant-advice is appreciated.

Best,
Tibo

They call it chronic if the 6 month test show HBSag positive and your immune system was not able to get rid of HBV. Saying that even called chronic you immune system if working properly might get rid of hbv and you become hbsag negative with God's will.

dear Soflab, thanks a lot. I was wondering whether this could be a very initial stage, since HBSAG is growing fast, and total HBCab is still negative (in chronic one,as well as late stage acute one, i think should be positive!). IF true, how likely am I to develop chronic? I have read that around 5-10% of adults will develop chronic. Would any healthy adults belong in here?
