Hbsag quantification

Hi stef or others.
Intrigued as to why I am reading about levels of hbsag in older persons who are e.ant neg & dna und, are usually fairly low & roughly a little higher than dna. My readings are hbvdna low (below level of quantification), & have been since diagnosis 23yrs ago, alt 33, fibroscan 5.3, afp1.1,
Hbsag 5000iu/ml. Is it unusual for me to have 5000hbsag, with these readings. Also can you recommend anything I can do to bring down this level or even clear. I am 66yrs old & had hbv for probably 45/50+yrs. Am I in a good place?
Can't understand why I haven't cleared with such low dna/alt. How can I reduce fibroscan?
I am taking milk thistle, vitd3, black seed capsules, eat fruit/veg, organic where possible.
Thanks all.

It depends on your viral load and ALT do you need treatment or not, not only fibrosis. I'm sure there are some supplements to revert it a little, stef may help you here.

Mrr49: your fibroscan is very good, most of people in your age without hbv will have similar or worse result, especially if they drink alco and eat not very well. From wiki:

"Between 90–95% of healthy people without liver disease will have a liver scarring measurement less than 7.0 kPa (median is 5.3 kPa)."
