Anti Hepatitis B e antigen - Positive, HBV DNA Quantitative 60 IU/ml

I have been detected with Hep B - last year. My doctor said all fine based on various tests and nothing needs to be done. Now i re did this 2 tests as part of routine.

Anti HbeAg - says Positive
HBV-DNA QUANTITATIVE says 60.00 IU/ml with reference range as "Analytical sensitivity - 3.8 IU/ml
1 IU/ml = 6 copies / ml"

What am i caught with? can someone help me? how serious is my situation?

As long as your HBV-DNA is bellow 2000 IU it is considered OK.
Some doctors would recommend DNA to be monitored once per year, others once every 6 months. If money is no concern you can pay out of your pocket and have it monitored every 4 months (3 time per year) which might give you a  clearer picture of your hepatitis state (as DNA values often fluctuate is a significant number of people).

Did you do fibroscan?
