The doctor want to wait because he want to know how active is the virus, because even normal people would get some damage to the liver from taking everyday pain killers, antibodies, alchohol, etc... since the treatment will be ineffective if the patient got minimum virus activity...
Regarding the pain, you should have your doctor checked out, and maybe ultrasound to check anything abnormal is happening to the size of your liver...
Hi. I too don't know much about hep B but I am surprised the doctor has not started you on treatment.

AS for the pain several days after the biopsy, I would call the doctor. Maybe you just overdid with the excercise, but it would be best to check up on it.
frijole
2 Days after my Biopsy, I felt fine. No pain. I even exercised several days later and I was okay. Last night all of sudden, I had a sharp soreness pain in my lower rib. I carried the pain all day today. Is this normal? Should I contact the doc's office or go for a check up? Your input please.
Thanks.
I have no idea about Hep B. MOst of us here have Hep C. I would follow what your doctor says.
Good luck
