You need to have these tests .
1) hbcab igm to determine whether it is acute or chronic.
if it is positive that means it is acute , 95% of adults clear the infection by themselves.
if it is negative , it is likely that you are chronic.
You may the following tests in that case.
1) Quantitative hbsag
2) hbvdna PCR
3) Fibroscan to understand the liver status.
it seems you are chb chornic.. eag+ve status as I am.. anyoh hbsag is not high.. as you have high alt you are in the immune clearance phase and may seroconvert to eag-ve status..
have a liver panel done aniway (fibrsocan + ultrasound)
