what symptoms

no symptoms, you can reach cirrhosis and liver cancer and get no symptoms or abnormal blood tests indicatin that stage until you are dying.

i had advanced cirrhosis and no symptoms or signs, early cirrhosis is detected only by fibroscan

do change doctor right away, the tests done are nothing to say what you have, your stage and which drug is best

if you are in US you must be aware that you are in the worst country as regards hbv tests, the most important are not available just to put anybody on costly useless antivirals

you need to check the following since antivirals just block liver damage and not the virus:
hbsag quantity in iu/ml by abbott architect, check with abbott where to do it or where to ship blood samples to have the test done

fibroscan, to know liver damage.available in very few places in US.if no fibroscan make a biopsy

alt/ast

after we have these answers we might know chances to clear hbv, which drugs can give better results on infection and if a drug is needed because if you have no liver damage you can wait for better drugs

check all community and health pages, it will help you know more about hbv and understand what doctor you have (ignorant or just a drug makers pusher).it will be easier to find the best liver specialists too since there are few
