How do I know if I am active or inactive

My ALT is 131

My HB E AG  is non reactive

My HB E AB is reactive

I recently just found out I am HBV positive. My doctor said I should come and see him again in 3 months, I am not on any treatment.

if you dont take all the tests needed to define your status you can be healthy or cirrhotic...no blood test or symptom will tell you

in order of importance:
fibroscan, the only tool to tell how your liver is (no blood test can tell if your liver is cirrhotic or damaged, only fibroscan or a biopsy)

hbsag quant in iu/ml

hbvdna in iu/ml

hbeag/hbeab

genotype

liver function

You really need to know your viral load (hbvdna) to know whether your disease is active or not. ALT is  a good indicator but it is not specific and its elevation may be due to other factors.
