for those who like to check baseline il17 and follow up on high dose vit d, the test is available at redlabs.com.
this lab is in Brussels and they offer research levels tests like nagalase and il17
i wont be testing il17 because to complicated for me, i ll just follow hbsag decline
Thank you so much for this info, because what I know that IL10 is modulates inflammatory response & inhibits actions of activated T cells & Th1( i.e suppress immune system ) ,, but activate Th2,,,So, I think really we want higher than normal Vit D3 to induce this action by inhibiting IL17
it is like we are doing our own trial and our own results...i dont think we will ever see a trial on this, but overall tests are not expensive and easy and vit d3 is relatively safe is calcium is checked very frequently or under doctors monitoring (as posted many times no dairy diet is mandatory for this)
vit d is key to lower IL17 as shown in MS ore than 1000patients patients under dr coimbra protocol since 10 years.IL17 correlates also with autoimmune diseases and MS
so very high dose vit d3 according to dr coimbra protocol lowers IL17 (vit d3 is the most potent suppressor of th17, IL17 known), in turn lowering IL17 you lower IL23 and IL10 too, IL10 is known to suppress immune response towards hbv
so if one is close to redlabs.com or canhave IL17 tested there everything in under control in this process (IL17, vitd25oh, pth, calcium).if not just increase vit d3 dose to lower pth
i think this may work only for prevention and not alone but in those under tdf or etv or pegintf
thanks for the info, i will have to take some time to read everything ..bottom line , Vit D is the key in all of this studies ?
