Hi.
What am I going to ask may seem stupid to some but I need to ask it. I am for 6 months on TDF. So far so good (tomorrow I'll find out the results but 3 months ago was a drastic decrease in the viral load ... about 4 logs or so from 9 logs). Of course like in bad movie scenario, few days ago I made a mistake: I missed a dose (300 mg Tenof). No need to point out to me what that means in terms of potential scenarios (less effective treatment, resistance etc). I know what it can cause, I know the classical advice to take it if I remember in the first 12 hours and skip it if I don't remember. I really really really did not remember until 24 hours later at the next dose. I also know that I am stupid for missing it (now I took multiple redundant measures to avoid such situation). The 1 million dollar question is: will this one missed dose have any bearing on my treatment ? Basically there was 48 hours interval in between the doses. Does someone know what is the half-life of TDF and how does it fit with the missed dose ? It is the first (and last) time in 6 months I miss by accident one dose and now I am obsessed with the potential damage it might have caused leaving a window of opportunity opened for the damn virus. What do you guys think ?
