My platelets and WBC, HBV carrier

Recently, i did a lot of tests ..
what made me a little bit worried is some results:
platelets: 144   (normal 150-400)
wbc: 3.02  (normal 4-11)

other tests i put it in this forum:
hbvdna  2804 iu/ml
fibroscan   6.3 kpa  f1
alt: 42 , ast: 41

1. what reason of reduced amount of wbc and platlets? is it dangerous?

2. how it go back to normal range?

apprecite your response ..

how old are you ?
how long have you been infected?
I'm 55 and was infected around 10 years old (by reused needles while stayed in the hospital)
Get a fibroscan to check out the status of your liver is a very good idea.

if there is immune activation now and you take entecavir it s possible you stop immune response while if you take intf you can increase it

to confirm if it is immune activation you need hbsag, if hbsag and hbvdna go down, ast/alt go up, you are clearing infected cells and there is immune activation

if fibroscan is normal it can be immune activation, low wbc, low neutrophils and low plts can be due to increased intf production

are you taking high dose of Niacin?

High dose Niacin ( Vit B3) may lower your wbc. It lower my wbc when I took 1000 mg daily. wbc went back up after I stopped.

Dr. Melissa Palmer's guide to hepatitis & liver disease / Melissa Palmer.
by Palmer, Melissa.

From this book, I learnt when the wbc and platelet count is low, it is a sign that the liver functioning is getting weak; i.e., your fibrosis is getting worse.
and that is the test my doctor has been monitoring every 3 months: wbc and platelet count. My trend is also going down: I'm at the low range right now. Hope this help.
