thanks very good they have results already from first human trial

i think the point with hbv before we can say it is better than tdf is:

no kidneys toxicity
higher or same levels of drug in the liver
no resistance mutations

i am afraid about no resistance mutations, at the moment it is not known why tdf has no resistance on hbv, the guess is tdf stays longer in liver cells (all nucs are very poor to reach and keep stable quantity in liver cells).so we have to look carefully at these points since the new formula changes exactly the way cells manage tdf we have to be 100% sure it improves resistance profile over tdf

i also dont like the use of lower levels of the drug, i hope the will concentrate on the use of higher levels of drugs in tissues with no toxicity otherwise the resistance profile might worsen

this is a sure alternative on those with such bad kidneys toxicity to discontinue tdf

hope new trisl will focus on higher levels and potency especially as genetic barrier to resistance

these new drugs will drive money from US to europe, i think they are making research in germany exactly with this in mind

they probably moved their as* because fo myracludex, rep9ac and others, just to be sure not to lose all the market since hiv fraud is coming out in europe and they are about to lose most income from it be it from patents or from normal market, i dont think european crisis will be able to manage new expensive drugs.

GS-7340 - so this is another formulation of Tenofovir  by Gilead Science. The timing of this new pro-drug is interesting. Most likely Gilead Science has been sitting on this for a while. Just like it has been sitting on Tenofovir as a drug for HBV for years.
There is an Australian company that is also developing a new pro-drug of Tenofovir, it will begin clinical trial in China next year.
Gilead has amassed a fortune from its HIV drugs. It can afford to buy out Pharmassat(for its HCV drugs) for 11 billion dollars CASH!
This company is not exactly generous or with social conscience.

the problem is the opposite tdf has no resistance mutations and drug industry kept tdf hidden until off label use and EU community approved it, we had the wonder drug for hbv since 2000 and all kind of usless, weak nucs have been pushed ahead wasting a lot of money on pushing and research while tdf was there

so i am a little worried about:
lowering tdf doses
different distribution of drug in tissues since tdf has no resistance thanks to tissue distribution

and i d use a new distibution of tdf in tissues only when i have 100% safety on no mutations
remember tdf is the only nuc with no resistance if you get resistance of tdf by a new type of it you have no way out
