eAb positive
eAg negative
High viral load
elevated ALT

These indicate active "e" negative disease.  How old are you?  You likely need treatment for the rest of your life.  And if you are not that old, you may want to ask your doctor about combo treatment, Entecavir plus the other one your doctor mentioned.  Feeling lost is normal and expected.  Start learning, take care of yourself, and odds are in your favor you will live a healthy life and die of something else, like old age.

As for what I think, it's the same.  I tend to focus on management and enjoying life and not chasing the ever elusive cure.

I can appreciate your feeling of loss.  In the Chinese Hep B site, hbvhbv.com, they often refer to this journey "a trip with a one-way ticket."

On the bright side, many see science is advancing and hope someday HBV can be cleared.

What do others think?

Today, I visited by GI, he was very much helpful. He adviced me me go on antiviral/ Entecavir medicine after looking my Viral Load and ALT. He also said there is new antiviral which is promising and has 3% chance (in theory) of clearing the virus.

It feels like that I am about to go on a very long journey (something you can not avoid).

Any thoughts (as I feel lost right now...)

According to 2007 Guideline, your ALT and DNA values suggest treatment.  You can be treated by IFN or antiviral drugs, which one to choose depends on your situation.  The former has more side effects but does not have the worry of resistance and has the hope of cure; the latter has little side effects but has the issue of resistance and usually antiviral drugs controls HBV not eliminate it.
