Hubby has Hep B. Did he cheat?

We've been married 14 years, and supposedly been faithful.  Hubby tried to donate blood and we recieved a letter saying he tested for Hep B.  We both went to our doctors and were tested.  I came back good and he did not.  He had a liver untrasound today and viral load blood test.  No results yet.

We swears he did not get it from messing with someone else.  He's not and has never been a drug user. I asked the doc if it was possible for him to have it for the 14 years we've been married and not know it and she said no.

Is he just BS'ing me and really did get this from sex with someone else?

CALM DOWN

based on statistics 10-15% of Filipinos have it... That's a whopping 10M+ people and your husband, me, and countless other Filipinos have it too. Majority of them do not know it, and usually we get to know it via accident (i knew i have it via blood donation too)

To be sure your husband, his siblings, and mom should be checked, if her siblings have it then most likely his mom have it too and they got infected when their mom gave birth to them. Also, have your kids checked too, everyone living with someone who has HBV SHOULD be vaccinated ASAP.

ALSO, HBV is a unique disease, when an adult gets exposed to it he/ she has around 90-95% chance of clearing it assuming that the person is perfectly healthy, kumbaga parang tintrangkaso lang. On the other hand, if a person is exposed during infanthood (upon birth) where the immune system is still not fully developed the stats are reversed and only 5-10% clear it, the remaining becomes Chronic carriers like your husband .

Please... Dont make it hard for your husband, he's undergoing a LOT. Just be there to support him.
