Relation between Hep B and High Cholesterol?
I am 22 this year and i am a hepatitis B Carrier.
Recently i went for a screening and had my cholesterol reading taken.
TOtal cholesterol : 280 (Normal range not exceeding 200)
ALT : 106
AST : 68
Anyone knows the normal range of ALT? I've seen 2 different benchmark (0-30) and (30-80) is considered normal.
This recent medical report uses (0-30), so the doctor informed me that its 3 times the normal range and i need further checkup.
Can anyone advise me on my ALT reading? Also any co relation between Hep B and High Cholesterol?

no correlation but high cholesterol interfere with immune system, might make fat liver disease and is used by some viruses, also hbv, to make hbsag antigen
simvastatin and lovastatin are drugs which lowers cholesterol and they have been found to lower hbv virus too
