Hep B from Father to Child

Hi,

My son is 1.5 years old and my wife tested negative HBV. Looks like I had this HBV before marriage only. Do I need to check my kid of 1.5 years for HBV test?

I heard from the doctor that it will not come from Father to the kid as vaccination would have given after birth, so no need to test for him.

Does it make sense of testing his blood for HBV or it's 100% sure that kid will not have HBV? Any idea?

Hi
I suggest you to test him .and see if he has antibodies or no.by this WA you will take off any doubt about this.normally since his mother is negative he couldn't get it but to be sure that he is immunized against this also maybe in future he could touch your personal things so to be sure that the vaccin did it work.good luck
