do i need further tests to determine status of HbsAb ?
-> No.
do i currently have HBV?
-> No.
am i a carrier?
-> No.
Is >1000mIU/mL good news?
-> Yes.

Whether or not you ever had the live virus in your body, your body now has the ability to kill it. So you are immune.

Sounds like great news to me!

it means you are postive for antibodies for hepatitis B.

anitbodies for hepatits B ( HbsAb) means immunity to the virus.

one of two things happened to you, either you were vaccinated and therefore immuned or were infected of the virus at one point and spontaneously cleared it and - again - therefore become immune to it.

you are clear of all 3 types of Hep you tested for .

good luck
