Would I get Hepatitis B

First of all, I don't have antibodies at all. I had a free facial, and the tools and utensils were not sterilized at all. And they used them to poke my pimples and some of the pimples bled. Would I get infected with Hep B because of that?

Thank you for your answers and patience.

By an open cut, do you mean a cut on my skin or the infected person's skin? They used those utensils to poke the pimples on my face so an open cut on my skin definitely existed.

there is no fixed volume of blood , per se, needed in order for hbv to transmit through.

it does , however, take a considerable amount of blood for someone to get infected. an open cut might also be needed for an transmission , so it is not just some blood from in an infected person touching your skin thats gonna cause you to get infected..

there is never a "zero" chance whether its blood transmission or unprotedted sex etc.. thata going to stop you from getting infected.. you cant be paranoid either every time someone comes near you. it is not a common cold you know.

i know installing comfort into someone thats freaking out doesnt work sometimes but it really isnt a problem unless you want to make it one

nothing is a zero as far as HBV goes .. the only ZERO chance you can guranteee yourself is by vaccnation..so get the vaccine and rest your mind

good luck

How much amount of blood is needed to be make it possible to transmit?

bobright, yes but like stevennyer said, why are you only worried about hepB when it could be hepC, hiv and a few other viruses that share blood transfusion as the main cause.

well, it takes some considerable amount of blood to get infected by hepB or any other virus for that matter.. i dont think - even if tools were not sterilized properly - tht they would cause a transmission of hepB. chances are , though not zero, but pretty much close to it..

i wouldnt worry too much.. if you insist to be worried.. hey easy...go get tested for hepB and everything else too

Don't you think the risk is pretty high because the tools and utensils were not sterilized at all.

Then why be concern about just HepB?  How about HepC, HIV, the scores of other blood virus.

While in these situations the risk value is never a absolute zero, it's pretty close.  Is this near zero risk enough to ready you for time and expenses to wait in line to run all the tests?

If so, you select the test you want to do that will let you rest at night.

Why would I not? What if the person who had this facial before me was infected with Hep B?

Darn these free facial....someone should really do something about them.  If your pimples had blue-ish discharge....it's over for you.

The serious answer is NO.
