entecavir+tenofovir (viread) , is a good choice for you at this point....and also tell your doctor to read up on the results if clinical trials of DIFFERENT antiretrovirals before he puts anyone else on a treatment. I agree with both steve and stefano as well
You treated with Lamivudine alone and developed resistance. Then your doctor took you off Lamivudine and gave you Hepsera (Adefovir). If so it's a terrrible treatment strategy.
If you just taking Adefovir now, you should absolutely go on the trial. Either option is better for you than Adefovir at this point.
If you develop resistance to Adefovir as well, you will be at higher risk for resistance to other HepB antivirals. For example, develop resistance to Lamivudine and the wonderful Entecavir takes a hit. Develop resistance to Adefovir and the also wonderful Tenofovir takes a hit.
hespera has a very poor response...
entecavir+tenofovir (viread) is the most potent and safest combo with probably no drug resistance for naive patient but i am not sure which is best between entecavir or Emtricitibine with lam resistance
i wouldn't stay one day on hespera even naive because it has a lot of resistance and very weak
