high, no response to peg usually
very little to bring it down except try peg for 12 weeks and see if it goes down, try making your vitamin d levels max of normal, try a decade of tenofovir or entecavir.
i say try because there is nothing that lowers hbsag 100%, only replicor naps has shown to lower it to und on most patients but not available.also naps therapy need peg to consolidate hbsag und
i am 32 and my level is around 12500 iu/ml.is it high low or average.
also can i do anything to bring it down
How old are you bigmoviebuff?
If you are in your 20's or 30's then your result is good (lower then average)..but if you are in your 40's or 50's then your result is close to average. Hbsag tends to decrease with age.
Ideally we want to maintain it as low as possible, as it was shown that people with lower levels have lower chances of liver cancer.
Everything bellow 1000 is very good.
i d say good, not far from less than 1000iu/ml which allows better peg response to lower hbsag
