synlab, at least in italy, is a big lab which owns many many small offices just to collect the blood samples to ship to the main lab but also works for all small labs own as a wholesaler
they have the most updated tests like ip10, oxidative stress tests, receptor polymorphism tests that roches is making tests there for human trials
Actually my test result say "MVZ Labor Nordwest" which I think could synlab branch in germany?
The thing Stef is I end up doing it at local doctor and I'm not sure if they use synlab or other labs. I have an appointment to see the doctor this Tuesday to see if I can repeat and can confirm
i would not doubt synlab result, it is all automated, no mistakes possible once we know they used elecsys
if you stay in europe long time you may recheck in 1 month, 2 tests can help understand if kinetics are stable, downwards or upwrds
dont worry about hbvdna numbers, they differ machine from machine but it is not important to have small differences of 1log (1000-10.000 this is 1log difference).
hbvdna is uselful when und or extremely low then having other numbers in the thousands or millions makes no difference (except in the diagnosis of tolerance which has billions, and again hbvdna with all other tests, hbvdna alone is almost useless if not und)
Im in same boat. I did my only ever hbsag quantity and it came low at 223 iu/ml and wounder if I should repeat the test to confirm it before starting on peginterferon .
Yes i was,very weak,blurry n sometimes glaring vision,muscle jerking that awakes me in my sleep,high Alt 200+
Were you sick when you measured viral load the first time, or was something very specific happening to you at that time?
Thanks stef, how abt the hbvdna then pls?is it then an unreliable result as well?
your hbsag test is a fraud it says titer but the titer is of the reagent used, not hbsag, infact the number has no units to quantificate, it is just an index of the regent used
this test is very common in the philippines, never saw this crap in europe and is of course useless on a chronic carrier
