I received a letter after a  blood donation that says I was tested positive in this core antigen, the other tests are negative. They explain that maybe have hep b in the past, but now not.Can anyone explain this?Do I have to go to the doctor?

hi, You had the virus at one time. But now it is gone. You will always test positive. But you are clear now. So there is no need to go the doctor. Unless you want to check to see if you are immune yet. Just be sure to tell your Doctor next time you visit. But no need to make a special visit. That is just my opinion. Good Luck
