fenofibrate and Hep b

Hi I was recently prescribed Fenofibrate to help reduce my high cholesterol levels etc... after a blood test.
I have been doing some digging around regarding the drug and it says I should not be taking it if one has Hep B.
I haven't found what the reasons are so I was wondering if someone could elaborate why one should not be taking it if one has Hep B.

Thanks so much for your help.

I am not positive however I thought that if your liver was damaged you should not take any statins to lower your cholesterol.  I might be wrong, maybe someone else can help
Also normally warnings will come with the medication to say you should not take if  you have liver or kidney problems.  Perhaps you could ask your doctor
