you must get hbsag quantity iniu/ml (the exact number with diluition) before you start intf and then check at 12 weeks and 24 weeks, so it is possible to know if intf is working or not.
if there is no hbsag decrease by 24 weeks you are an intf non responder and it is best to stop intf and keep entecavir monotherapy while if you experience any hbsag decrease by 24 weeks you can be fast or slow responder and it is best to keep etv+intf
once you see that hbsag goes down continuatively under intf+etv you better keep this combo for 96weeks until hbsag goes und and hbsab appear to more than 10miu/ml
definitely a good liver specialist needed to monitor all this
You need to be monitored by a hepatologist while on IFN treatment.
Its not a do it yourself treatment.
Dear ,
do you suggest any laboratory test before adding interferon? and kindly suggest the doze of interferon
You don't know if you seroconvert until you're on IFN treatment.
Dear Sir, Thank you for your valuable reply. will this also lower the level of hbeag which is 3.7 at present?
entecavir has no effect on hbsag, to lower hbsag you must add on interferon to entecavir
hbsag is not 250iu/ml but higher than 250iu/ml, the lab which did the test fraud you because they did not diluite your sample to check exact level of hbsag
99% of hbv carriers have hbsag higher than 250iu/ml, there is no need to test to know that.....
