Hi there.  Can people list any side effects of your treatment -- if there is any? And what antiviral are you on and how long?

I really don't know if I have it from birth, I was a regular blood donor till 5 years ago, donated blood is checked for HBv,  HIV and other stuff. And they usually notify if anything is found. So, definitely I assume I got it in past 5 or 6 years, the only thing that could have exposed are major dental surgeries I had in second half of 2015.

Hi Cabin3
I came to know about hbv in a blood test done for insurance purpose towards the end of February 2016. I am 46 years, and male.
Doctor doesn't say how long I will be on entecavir. The Viral load has gone undetectable (less than 20 iu /ml). It will be seven months on entecavir by this month end.

How about you? Which antiviral you are on?

Hi Sphere,
My doctor prescribe viread 3 weeks ago and I have not taken it.  My intentions if I take it is to come off after I delivery baby and that is in 6 weeks.  My fear is that if I come off viread, will my hep b mutate and turn into something else that my body hasn't been used to.  My levels are high 2,500,000 copies and ALT 284 but I know that prior to going to third trimester, my ALT was about 60-80 but with still higher viral load like 4 million.  My doctor doesn't want to give me false hope and says that I should probably expect to be on for life.  I haven't had fibroscan or ultrasound and now that I'm in third trimester, I can have it until baby is born.
Do you think you have it since birth?

Hi Cabin3
I started entecavir some 6 months ago, and initially I felt fatigued for about 1.5 months, later it reduced. Currently I am not experiencing any noticeable side effects. Some days I do feel tired and down, but that could be due to stress, and work etc

Thanks SpereAJ:  how did you come to find out that you are chronic HBV?  How old are you?  Did Dr. Mention how long you will probably be on entecavir?

I have just started treatment on Zepatier. Day 3.  So far I just
feel brain foggy and a little weary, fatigue I guess. I am supposed to take it for 12 weeks, and hopefully  be SVR then.
