Just to clarify one point, ALT cannot tell you how damaged the liver is. Only give an idea of damage that could be occurring at the time of the test.
As long as your doctor is following you, things should be fine.
thanks CAJIN .I going to have a blood test next month, that mine doctor want, hope it is going be under treatment. mine blood text 3years ago the HBV DNA is only 100 copies/ml and now is 9,200 copies/ml .That made me worried, can you give me some advice. THANKs
Looks like you are in immune tolerant stage with much viral replication but no liver damage.
2007 Guideline: Among individuals with perinatally acquired HBV infection, a large percent of HBeAg-positive patients have high serum HBV DNA but normal ALT levels. These patients are considered to be in the “immune tolerant” phase.
Usually patients at this stage are monitored until ALT is elevated to 2 times normal upper limit when treatment is more effective.
So now it is best if you have your doctor monitor you until treatment makes sense.
Best.
