If you want anecdotal evidence, no one in my family (parents, brother) has gone through the whole course of vaccination. Before I was detected positive, we used to share nail-cutters, etc. After I discovered that I was positive for HepB, I read that this was a strict no-no. Despite this, no one in my family is infected besides me.

It's not all that bad, is it? You don't have to move away.

as bberry says, get them tested and get them vaccinated. Until then, do not share clothes, towels, nail-cutters, etc.
