I am recently based in Bahrain, I want to help my brother in law to get here but he failed the examination,He was diagnose with Hepa B but the diagnostic center told him that it is not contagious. Is there any treatment for this?
what else can he do to cure this virus to avoid from being chronic?

well he needs further testing to find out his complete hep B status. what they test for at airports or blood centers in the gulf countries is for the surface antigen and he obviously shows postive regardless of infectious or not.

now he needsd to test for his liver panel and find out his ALT and AST
also needs a complete HepB profile to find out for HBSAG, HBSAB, HBEAG, HBEAB, and HBCAB.

he also needs to know and be told if this is an acute infection ( recently gotten ) or a chronic infection ( something he's had for some time ) . If acute then he's good a good chance he will clear it since he's got it in his adulthood..90-90% of people getting it in their adulthood go on to recover from it.
if chornic then he needs to see a specilialist and see if monitoring or treatment is needed.
i know your question is in regard to his chances joining you in bahrain and i am afraid that most if not all gulf countries do not allow people ( foreigners ) to "stay" - for work or study - in thier countries while having  HBV. so there is a chance - a good chance - that he wont be allowed to go in and stay.. i am not sure about his chances to in and out as a visitor or a tourist.

i think his health comes first now before anything else so now that he knows what he's got , he needs to focus on it and have it taken care of..and by that i do not mean curing it for there is no cure at this time but there was many way to manage such infection.

good luck to you both
