Just like you, I read the report and do our best to understand all the details/technical terms. I usually just rely on the conclusion by the radiologist, which in your case, made a finding of Grade 1 Fatty Liver only. Do ask your doctor if you have any concerns, he/she is trained and qualified to understand these reports.

Yours is a ultrasound report. Fibroscan is a measure of liver stiffness, giving a score in KPa that relates to fibrosis in the liver. It is done by a special machine and is an alternative to a liver biopsy. Talk to your doctor.

I don't know much about the grading of fatty liver, but I don't think grade 1 is serious. I presume it is from an ultrasound imaging. Smoking is very bad for your health, and drinking is not good for the liver, specially, it adds to fatty liver. I am sure giving up smoking and drinking, with regular exercise and a healthy diet. your overall health will improve. Yes, while you still have a viral load, you are infectious and should take precaution. Just listen to your doctor and have another checkup to assess the situation.

Hi Soflab.

I remembered about 6years ago I had a test for HVB and I was told by the doctor is cleared up from the system but I need no vaccination . Before the text I have been a rear alcoholic with cigarette smoking. I quit smoking Cigarette about 9month ago and quite the alcohol 1 months ago after I went for another test to confirm my status again Where I was told I have the HBV active in my blood. I have stopped eating junk food and also exercise a lot as well, Do you think this new life style will further reduce my ALT level and the viral load test reduce further or get raid of the virus entirely . Thanks for answering me.

Hi Stephen. I have been on alcohol and  cigarette for quite sometime now and since  I have been tested positive as a chronic carrier of HBV about a month ago. I have stop eating junk foods exercise a lot and also stop the alcohol and the smoking as well. The doctor ask me to avoid all this carnage and return back after 3 months with Liver function test and viral load check which am doing without any hesitation. can I be able to transmit this virus to others, please advise and what about dizziness and early morning headaches sometimes throughout the day is this also part of the HBV. Thanks

You are HBeAg negative (BTW, E does not stand for Envelope, just E) and HBeAb positive. So you should be in the inactive (or immune control) phase. Your hbvdna is 1770 iu/ml (or 10301 copies/ml), which is below 2,000 iu/ml. However, your ALT is elevated. So you may like to see whether your elevated ALT is due to fatty liver.  I think a Fibroscan may also be useful. I don't know whether you are a candidate for treatment, but close monitoring may be necessary.

Just my opinion.

when did you discover u have a pos HBSag.

HBS ab neg = ur body has not develop anti bodies to fight HBV.

so you need to boost ur immune system and to start with get you Vit d tested.
Also i have experienced my self by maintaining a strict diet as no red meat or shelfish, just chiken breast and all other food grilled or boiled no fry food this way you are not overloading you liver to fight toxin and clear them and just focusing on fighting HBV.

also load of black radish, honey instead of sugar, ginger, safran, cashews, cumin, lemon first in the morning, cold showers in the morning all this had helped me lowere my HBV DNA.

HBV DNA1770 IU/ML
Confirm on this HBSag Quant 9IU/ml if so good news no cells affected yet.
