Hi,
I am from India. My father(60

want to do operation it. So
doctor advised for blood test in
which HbsAg got POSITIVE (7.5).
So, doctor again suggested to
do more test and those tests
results are:
Tests are carried of CMIA on
Architect i1000SR immunoassay
system)
Total Bilirubin : 0.2 (0.2-1 mgs%)
Direct Bilirubin : 0.1 (0.1-0.25
mgs%)
Indirect Bilirubin : 0.1 (0.1-0.75
mgs%)
SGOT : 18 (10-40 U/L)
SGPT : 16 (8-35 U/L)
Total Protein : 7.8 (6-8 gms%)
S. Albumin : 4.5 (3.5-5 gms%)
Serum Globulin : 3.3 (2-3.2 gms
%)
A/G Ratio : 1.4 (0-1.9)
S. Alkaline Phosphate : 157
(40-130 U/L)
HbsAg : 7.01 POSITIVE
antibody to Hepatitis e Antigen : 0.02 REACTIVE
HbeAg : 0.452 NON-REACTIVE
HbcAg (Antibodies against
hepatitis B Core) : 10.86
REACTIVE
IgM : 0.04 NON REACTIVE
Doctor has told me it is a
chronic hepatitis. Is it ? if so can
it be controllable?
Also can we go forward for
cataract operation?
Also can anti body be
developed by taking treatment ?
Waiting for prompt response…
and hope I will have it soon..
Thanks for going through this
topic
Is it transmitted through sharing
utensils as well as towels ?
How much the family member's
and other's have on risk ?
Do all family member's should
do this test?
Is there any cure for the same.
Also he is suffering from
epilepsy and taking 3 tablets of
Eptoin each day. He have alergy
to dust too.
I am really in tension...

What about your viral load and HBeAb tests ? Don't understand why your doctor would say you don't need treatment without these tests.

Ask your doctor about these tests.

HbsAg 3.562 > 0.800 => REACTIVE

HBeAg 0.20  NON-REACTIVE

if HBeAg would be greater than 0.735 (CUT OFF), then it would be REACTIVE.
