pls help.. positive for HBsAg

hello everyone. . I m 22 years old boy from india.. I was diagnosed as HBsAg positive before 3 years.. I donno how I got this infection.. at present my test results are

HBsAg positive
HBeAg negative
HBV DNA 986 IU/ml in one lab, 1284 IU/ml in other lab
HBsAg quantity 5416 IU/ml
ALT 22, AST 19, other LFT normal
Ultrasound abdomen normal

Now my doctor advised me to take entecavir 0.5mg/day.. he told me that he wants to reduce my viral load to avoid minimal chances for cancer and cirrhosis in future. .
Is it correct?

If I take it.. when should I stop the drug? Taking the drug in this situation will cause any problem?? How to start and how to stop to avoid resistance?

Along with HBV DNA will this drug reduce HBsAg at least some extent in my situation? ?

what is fibro scan.. in this situation is it necessary for me?

what should I do ? wat will be my prognosis? I m in fear for 3 years. . pls suggest me how long I will live?
