i found an article from 2008 so tdf is still missing, there is a comparision for cccdna (so hbsag too) decline on all drugs but it doesn't say if hbe pos or neg, maybe the effect is the same

article is about cccdna and starts from this page
http://www.clinicaloptions.com/Hepatitis/Annual%20Updates/2008%20Annual%20Update/Modules/Ghany/Pages/Page%201.aspx
interesting article on hbsag also on hbe neg
http://www.expert-reviews.com/doi/pdf/10.1586/eri.09.57
to cajim, the bad of china is that tdf is not allowed yet and people on resistance strains have no other choice than etv
i have found no data on tdf reductions of cccdna/hbsag, i remember i found a study where only a subgroup of 17% has reductions of hbsag on etv and tdf of about 1log per year but i don't remember if hbe pos or neg
Does TDF therapy induce a reduction in serum HBsAg in HBeAg-negative patients?
Very informative! Thanks!
I'll start popping my phyllanthus tablets which, unlike my ETV tablets, I keep forgetting about.
ETV is often used as a savior in China when other drugs have failed and there are patients on it for years while living and working.
etv remains a good choice on people with kidneys problems because it has no kidney sides, but personally i don't like it since the cancer problems at higher doses on animal models and hope i will be able to stop it after interferon or switch to tdf
low hbsag baseline is important only on hbeag negative, while it is not predictive of hbsag loss on hbe positive
at the end of presentation there is also data about simvastatin alone or plus tdf-adv and
also data about phyllantus herbs which are known in china for hbsag and hbvdna suppression although from data here it doesn't look potent
