report analysis

i came to know about 3 months ago that i am infected from hep b virus. the concentration was quite high. but in my liver function test( LFT) everything was normal except my bilirubin was slightly high ( 1.87...below 1 is the normal).doctor told me to get tested after every 3 months.i went for a test again 3 days ago.the concentration of the virus is still the same. my bilirubin has decreased to 1.02 which is just slightly high.but my ALT has increased from 29 to 71 and AST from 28 to 145. what should i do..i dont want my virus to become chronic.what does it mean when bilirubin becomes normal.will i ever be able to get rid of this virus..please help in diet also..drinking citrus fruit juices is good in hep b or not??

as you can see from http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Hepatitis/HepB-Introduction--Welcome-Page/show/34?cid=153, you need to get several other tests done to find out your HepB status. If you have done them already, can you post it here?

thanks for ur reply...

what about the AST coz its too high...and wht does my bilirubin getting back to normal means...if i go for a anti-hbs test in 2-3 days....and if it comes -ve then it means my body has not generated any anti bodies till now....so does tht mean it wont generate noww??coz its already more thn 3 months..

i assume ur acute still.
well a good diet helps..bed rest is very very important..the rie in ALT level is very normal in your case.. your immune system is going at it with the virus..its part of the process for clearing.
