transmission!

Dear Doctor,

I have just been diagnosed with Hep B,I am currently undergoing more tests and such to see what can be done for me.My question is this,I was sexually active with my boyfriend at the time,he got tested for the disease and came back negative. The doctor told him he was immune to the disease.Does this mean he can not catch the disease from me or can he, and how if it is possible? Thanks for any help you can provide .

Hey donet even worry  He is negative because he can't get it in transimission.  That's a myth in my opionion.  hepc and b are from boood to blood.  I had 2 long time girlfriends andtheydon'thave it and new girlf firend don't have it either.  If I had to do it againI wold not tell my family or friends.  they treat you like a leper.  that's my opinion.  wecome to this place.  I know other people here will tell you the same thing and some will tell you different. This is what i think and that is from perosnal experience.

Studies show a 1-3percent chance of transmitting hcv through sexual intercourse. Which 3 of your 100 girlfriends will you risk giving this DEADLY virus to? Will you infect the one that you happen to actually love? The study does not even cover open mouth kissing which probably increases the chance of "blood to blood". I can't speak for hcb but some here will. If you care about the person you're with-get the facts first and discuss the subject with your mate. Past experience? Even one infected out of 100 sucks!

Hepatitis b is transmitted through sexual intercourse. Be careful regardless of what the doctor says. Mike

HBV definitely is sexually transmissible.  The rate is higher for transmission than HCV.  That is how I got HBV.  I cleared it on my own will never get it again.(So I'm told) I assume that is what the doctor meant when he told your boyfriend he will never get it again or did he receive the HBV vaccine?
