Multivitamins

I was cured of Hep C last year. I want to know if I can have some multivitamins. I was careful when selecting this multivitamin called Cenovis which has iron 5mg. Is there anything I have to watch out for in multivitamins while my liver is recovering?

Senior (non mega) Multi without iron is what my IDS and Gastro said to take if I felt like I needed it BUT they both said that they had rather I continue to eat a balanced healthy diet and receive my V&M that way. I had a panel preformed and I wasn't deficient. Pills don't replicate nature very well.

As you get older the muti vitamins (seniors) appear to not have iron at all.
This is what my doctor recommended.   If you had cirrhosis you shouldn't be taking iron.  I chose not to stress my liver at all after treatment.  Your age, condition of your liver and what your need is for iron would determine why you would take vitamins with iron.   To be safe... I would run it by your doctor.
I tell my doctor exactly what I take.   I also send this info online to my doctor through the online records system your doctor uses.   As for a response.

Hope this helps
